Ukraine is one of Eastern Europe’s least developed countries. During the past decade, seven million residents have departed, leaving behind young siblings, elderly parents and people with special needs. All are poor. Many have been abandoned. And as escalating violence threatens the country’s future, their struggle is growing worse.

In Ukraine, a church that was forced underground during the Soviet era has emerged into the sunlight. CNEWA is helping to train seminarians and foster vocations in a land where faith was hidden, but never disappeared.

The country is also contending with civil strife that has displaced thousands. Through the church, CNEWA accompanies these people, seeking ways to provide both humanitarian and pastoral support in their time of need.

Send your donation today, and you’ll help CNEWA support the care of Ukraine’s suffering women and children. You’ll fund centers where the elderly find food and medical care. Future sisters and priests, too, will receive training to better serve the poor. As the desperation grows for Ukraine’s poor, they’ve never needed your kindness more.
