Middle East Christians: Hope Overcomes All Fear
Conflict, war and violence in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Palestine over the last 18 years has transformed many parts of the Middle East into a wasteland and forced millions to be on the move and live in fear.
The impact on the Christian communities has been tragic. 2.5 million Christians were forced to leave not only their homes but the Middle East entirely. Thousands of families are still displaced within their countries or live as refugees. This is the most rapid decrease in Christian population since the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
Pope Francis, hearing the pleas of these struggling Christians and wanting to bring them hope and consolation, visited Iraq this past March to bring the light of Christ in one hand and a dove of peace in the other.
Will you also help answer their pleas and keep the light of Christ shining in the darkest parts of Iraq and all over the Middle East?
Your donations and prayers help Christians to remain in their homes so that they can continue their good work in the fields of education, health care and services for the marginalized, refugees, the poor, the elderly and people with special needs and above all replacing fear by hope.
