Walk With The Poor This Lent
It is a question we start to hear every year around this time: “What are you giving up for Lent?”
The answers will vary — everything from chocolate to television to Facebook. But what if we looked at Lent differently?
What if this Lent we asked ourselves, what can I give? We so easily forget that “giving up” begins with “giving.”
To a grandmother in Armenia, you can give comfort and warmth during the harsh days of winter. To a hungry child in Ethiopia, you can give them and their family food and hope.
All this and more are made possible with your generous support!
Please give whatever you can and know this: as you remember the poor, they will remember you, with many prayers of thanksgiving.
