On behalf of the CNEWA Canada team, and with the blessing of Archbishop Marcel Damphousse<\/strong>, Chair of the CNEWA Canada Board, you are invited to celebrate “Light in the East”<\/strong> – CNEWA Canada\u2019s 20th Anniversary Gala<\/em> on Friday, November 7, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This unforgettable evening celebrates your support of churches and vulnerable communities throughout the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India, and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first Gala promises an inspiring program with our Guests of Honour:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michel Constantin<\/strong>, CNEWA Regional Director for Lebanon, Syria and Egypt<\/em>. Michel is an advocate for dignity, resilience and hope and a key voice in crisis response efforts. He will showcase his team’s results through testimony and stories from the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Hazboun<\/strong>, CNEWA Regional Director in Jerusalem<\/em>. Joseph and his team work tirelessly in Gaza, and he will bring firsthand insights into CNEWA\u2019s work supporting those affected by conflict there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CNEWA Faith & Culture <\/em>Award <\/strong>will be presented to Stan <\/strong>and Marge Owerko <\/strong>in recognition for their outstanding stewardship and commitment to our humanitarian and pastoral programs in Ukraine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
