Lent is not merely a season of penance and sacrifice; it is also a season of grace, renewal and spiritual growth! CNEWA invites you, during this Lent of the Jubilee Year 2025, to reflect on the profound opportunity this time offers to deepen our relationship with God. By engaging more intentionally in prayer, fasting and almsgiving, we can make this Lenten journey a transformative experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Jesus Christ, the ultimate example of sacrifice love, is on our minds in this season of the Church. We reflect on His 40 days in the desert, during which he fasted and prayed before his ultimate sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sacrificial love takes on a whole new meaning when you look at it in the context of those CNEWA supports in Ethiopia. From schools in the heart of the country to clinics run by nuns to a tribe that would have been otherwise hidden from civilization and the Gospel. Our partners on the ground in Ethiopia and those who serve the Church have seen first-hand the beauty and depth of sacrifice for the greater mission of the Church and for the well-being of those who are vulnerable. We invite you, this Lenten season, to offer a sacrificial gift to support CNEWA\u2019s life saving work in Ethiopia.<\/p>\n\n\n
