Organized by the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall under the leadership of Archbishop Marcel Damphousse, this sold-out event brought together more than 1,000 faithful to mark two significant jubilees \u2014 the Holy Year 2025, proclaimed by Pope Francis, and the fifth anniversary of the unification of the former Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall with the Archdiocese of Ottawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was an evening filled with grace, hope, and heartfelt emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a tremendous honour for me \u2014 along with our entire wonderful CNEWA Canada team \u2014 to attend and represent our agency at this inspiring diocesan-wide celebration. Our presence was a gesture of support, of gratitude, and of communion with Archbishop Damphousse, who also serves as Chair of CNEWA Canada\u2019s Board of Directors. His leadership has been a true gift to us, not only in his official capacity, but also as a spiritual guide and mentor whose witness continually inspires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"823\" src=\"https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-1024x823.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-1024x823.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-300x241.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-768x618.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-1536x1235.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-2048x1647.jpeg 2048w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/3-1600x1287.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Archbishop\u2019s message that evening \u2014 \u201c<strong><em>Go Out, Go Deep, Go Together<\/em><\/strong>\u201d \u2014 resonated powerfully throughout the hall. These words, spoken with profound conviction and pastoral tenderness, invited all of us to renew our trust in God\u2019s providence and to walk boldly in faith as a Church. Many of us were moved to tears as he spoke about the need for courage, compassion, and communion in today\u2019s world \u2014 and reminded us that it is ultimately God who takes the initiative in all things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"860\" src=\"https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/2-1024x860.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/2-1024x860.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/2-300x252.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/2-768x645.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cnewa.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/2.jpeg 1440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>CNEWA Canada was grateful to stand among so many devoted members of the Church, united in hope and purpose. In a world that often feels fragmented, this Jubilee Dinner was a powerful sign of unity \u2014 a celebration not only of milestones but of mission. We left uplifted, renewed in our own commitment to serve the Eastern Churches, and inspired by the faithful of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall, who continue to walk forward \u2014 together \u2014 with eyes fixed on Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we journey through the Holy Year 2025, may we carry with us the spirit of this evening and Archbishop Damphousse\u2019s words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;Go Out. Go Deep.
