CNEWA Receives Four-Stars

America’s premier independent charity evaluator, Charity Navigator, has given CNEWA its highest rating, four stars, ranking the agency among the best charities in the country. Charity Navigator noted that CNEWA’s work both “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause.”

In a letter to CNEWA President Msgr. John Kozar, Charity Navigator President and CEO Ken Berger wrote:

“Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Approximately a quarter of the charities we evaluate have received our highest rating, indicating that Catholic Near East Welfare Association outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Catholic Near East Welfare Association from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

CNEWA’s Vice President for Development Gabriel Delmonaco said, “We are very proud of this result, and grateful to all our friends and benefactors who continue to support our mission.”
