Summary of 2021-2022

2021 and 2022 were certainly troubling years for our world. Both people near and far experienced crises of incredible proportions. The COVID pandemic, financial instability in global markets, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, rising inflation and the war in the northern region of Tigray in Ethiopia are some examples, to name a few. Despite these trials, your commitment to seeing a better world through your donations has given our team and the many people who serve in our projects incredible hope and an even stronger willingness to care and make a difference for those overseas.

Many people in the CNEWA Canada family serve as our “boots on the ground” in so many ways. We recognize that it isn’t easy to do that. This “network of saints” include the laity, priests, sisters and bishops of the local churches — who receive your support and use it to touch countless lives in incalculable ways in Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. Together, they are building up the church, affirming human dignity, alleviating poverty, encouraging dialogue and inspiring hope – living out our mission in concrete ways.
We are proud to share with you an overview of some of the projects throughout CNEWA’s world that your generosity has helped fuel.
