Dear friends in Christ,
As we enter the radiant Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, my heart turns to the wisdom of the Holy Fathers who remind us that, in the humility of the manger, God chose to draw near to every human soul. He made himself light to deliver us from our darkness. He came to us as embodied hope to save us from our uncertainty. And he came as tenderness incarnate to heal a world so often marked by fear and division.
This sacred mystery invites us to let the same light shine through our own lives through compassion, gentleness, and the quiet acts of mercy that lift others when they least expected.
St. Ephraim the Syrian beautifully says, “He became small for us so that we might become great in him.” What a stunning reminder that every humble gesture of love carries divine power.
May the Christ Child bless your homes with peace, strengthen your hearts, with joy, and fill the coming year with grace that renews from within. May we all walk forward inspired by God who chose to dwell among us – Emmanuel, God with us.
A blessed and joyful Christmas to all!
