Webinar recording: Middle East Ceasefire Speaks Hope

We are all the creation of God and we should all have the same dignity and the same right to live in freedom and peace.

Joseph Hazboun, CNEWA Regional Director in Jerusalem

We would like to sincerely thank all who attended CNEWA Canada’s webinar today, February 12th. We had the opportunity listen to Joseph Hazboun, CNEWA Regional Director in Jerusalem, and hear updates about how our brothers and sisters in the Middle East – most specifically in Jerusalem and the Gaza strip have been impacted by the Ceasefire deal on January 19th.

We heard that CNEWA is very much involved in contributing to the communities in Gaza such as launching psychosocial programs for children and mothers, providing medical programs through an Anglican-Arab hospital, *which is the only functioning hospital in North-Gaza. There were also updates on how internally displaced people are being sheltered, and the great need for:

  • Medical supplies
  • Clean drinking water
  • Electric generators
  • Medicine

If you did not have the chance to join the webinar live, please take the opportunity to watch the recording below, share it with those who can stand in solidarity with our partners in the Middle East, as they need our support now more than ever.

Please consider a donation to provide the vulnerable people, families and children with the necessities listed above, to give them hope for a better future.

Adriana Bara, Ph.D., is the National Director of CNEWA Canada
