Help Accompany Refugees in Crisis
Every year, on June 20, we celebrate World Refugee Day. We take some time to remember the struggles of refugees throughout the world.
No doubt, we have all been impacted in some way by stories of families in Ukraine, Ethiopia and the Middle East who have fled their homes and towns — often with nothing but what they carry on their backs — escaping to safer regions in their country or leaving their country entirely for a neighbouring one.
There are many reasons for this: war, violence, hunger, and economic, social and political factors.
In most of the countries where CNEWA serves, these families reach out in desperation to our church partners for critical help. During these crucial first moments of crisis and displacement, many refugees and displaced people knock on their doors for food, shelter and support.
In most cases, we are their only hope.
If you are able, we ask you to consider financially supporting our campaign for refugees this year. Accompanying refugee and displaced families through a donation and sacrificial gift will provide greater hope for them and for our world.
