His Beatitude, Coptic Catholic Patriarch Antonios of Alexandria, was the guest of honor at a CNEWA luncheon on 29 May. Patriarch Antonios guides more than 250,000 Coptic Catholics, most of whom live in Egypt. An increasing number, however, are immigrating to Europe, North America and Oceania.
New York-area representatives of the Catholic and Orthodox churches and executives from the New York office of CNEWA joined CNEWA President Cardinal Edward Egan in welcoming the patriarch, who was elected in March 2006.
