Sister Wardeh and her Franciscan Missionaries of Mary have worked closely with CNEWA in setting up a number of programs for the poor and the homeless, especially in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

Activities here included summer Bible camps for refugee children, housing and emergency aid for refugee families from Iraq and Syria, tutoring, counseling and catechesis for children and young adults, and safe houses for girls at risk. Efforts also included the development of leadership programs for the formation of young adults in the faith.
