A new communications venture of the Archdiocese of New York, The Good Newsroom, spoke with Msgr. Peter I. Vaccari, CNEWA’s president, regarding the agency’s emergency work in Ukraine, Syria and Turkey.
“A year into the war now and we continue, under the leadership of Cardinal Dolan, to do whatever we can … in terms of trying to bring assistance — basic humanitarian assistance — both to the 8 million Ukrainians who have gone out of the country as refugees… and also to the 6.5 million IDPs, the internally displaced Ukrainians,” says Msgr. Vaccari.
