Msgr. Vaccari Sends Christmas Greetings

Dear Friends:

“Today our Savior is born; let us rejoice. Sadness should have no place on the birthday of life.”

from a Christmas sermon by St. Leo the Great

It has been quite the year! In addition to our personal journeys with those unique twists and turns, ups and downs, we have all lived through and continue to experience the impact of COVID-19.

I write this brief end-of-year message of gratitude and hope to you because I am most grateful for your extraordinary sacrifice and generosity throughout the challenges of the global pandemic.

Your giving made the difference between life and death for many people! You were instruments of hope. In the midst of all the trials and tragedies we experience or hear about, thanks to you, CNEWA remains a beacon of light and hope, which brings all to encounter the one who is our light and our hope — Jesus, the newborn Savior! Let us rejoice!

From our family to yours, have a blessed Christmas. Enjoy the brief video greeting below, which offers warm wishes from our offices and partners around the world — a heartfelt reminder of how we are all connected by shared faith, hope and love.

Merry Christmas!

Msgr. Peter I. Vaccari
