The first 2022 issue of CNEWA’s award-winning magazine, ONE, is now available online.
In its beautifully illustrated pages, this edition of ONE opens with some cultural and historical context to the war on Ukraine; highlights the brightening futures of sight-impaired children in Ethiopia; features a moving letter from a Litter Sister of Nazareth working in a refugee camp in Lebanon; the wounded healers in Jordan; and the hope of special needs children in India.
And for those readers who know Spanish, ONE is excited to introduce its first feature article in that language, which we hope to continue with every edition as our Spanish-language audience continues to grow. “Libano, un Pais de Neveras Vacias” describes the plight of Lebanon’s proud people, reduced to poverty since the explosion of August 2020, but the power of hope and resolve to overcome.
Take time to read these stories of hope. Whether covering from a remote corner of Ethiopia or India or the hustle and bustle of the Middle East’s teeming cities, you will not find this quality of research, reporting and writing anywhere else, nor the subject of the Gospel in action in some of the most challenging places and circumstances in the world.
