Migrants and refugees carry with them extraordinary courage and faith. A lifeline to the church where they find refuge, migrants in some parts of the world are the very future of the church. As Pope Leo reminds us, these courageous men and women “should be recognized and appreciated as a true divine blessing, an opportunity to open oneself to the grace of God, who gives new energy and hope to his church.”

These messengers of hope are reviving the power of the Gospel in communities where it has long languished. But they must not be left to do this work alone.

Across the Middle East, Africa, Ukraine and beyond, refugees face tremendous obstacles to the safe havens they seek. Hunger. Violence. Homelessness. The list goes on and on. But through CNEWA, the church walks with them: providing meals for children, water for families, and advocacy and education to help prevent exploitation and trafficking.

This work is only possible with your help.

Your gift offers protection and dignity to uprooted families. It strengthens the communities that welcome them. We are all part of one human family, united by common values of love and dignity for all. We must stand together in solidarity with these messengers of hope.
