Stand With Iraqis

War. Persecution. Pandemic. But through it all, the people of Iraq have not been alone.

Iraqis have faith. And they have you.

Iraqi families face challenges many of us can barely imagine. But the church is at their side — walking with them as they work to rebuild their lives, their homes, their futures.

And CNEWA is helping make it possible.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, a shattered country is rediscovering hope. In 2021, seminarians and novices will receive education and training, to help spread the Gospel and witness to the Good News. An orphanage in Qaraqosh will receive food, clothing and health care. Elderly and disabled women in Erbil will be helped through our support of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Schools will be funded, catechists will be trained.

By the grace of God, a world of possibility and promise is once again within their reach.

And it wouldn’t be happening without the prayers and support of generous people like you.

In March, Pope Francis will make history, becoming the first pope to visit Iraq. “They will see the pope is there,” he said. “I am the pastor of people who are suffering.”

Join the Holy Father on this journey — and join CNEWA as we reach out to uplift and sustain the people of Iraq and remind them that “the people who are suffering” are not alone.
