The director and staff of CNEWA’s regional office in Jerusalem visited with Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa on 5 January to congratulate him on his being named the new Latin patriarch of Jerusalem last October. They wished him success in his new mission and expressed their readiness to support him in his pastoral ministry.
The archbishop shared his gratitude for CNEWA’s work in supporting the local community and said he always receives good feedback about the regional office from both Catholic and non-Catholic institutions.
The staff also presented Archbishop Pizzaballa with a ceramic replica in miniature of the Tomb of Jesus, handmade by the women who work at the Piccirillo Center in Bethlehem.
