Connections With Msgr. Peter: Live From Beirut

Msgr. Peter I. Vaccari will broadcast live from Beirut for the next episode of “Connections With Msgr. Peter,” on 26 April at 11:30 a.m. EST. He will be joined by Michel Constantin, CNEWA’s regional director for Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Iraq, who will speak on the office’s programs and duties.

Additional guests will include Imad Abou Jaoude, CNEWA’s program manager for Syria and Iraq; Marlene Tobajian Constantin, program manager for Egypt and health care programs in Lebanon; Rita Sleiman Bishara, senior project manager for Syria and Lebanon; as well as Sister Hadia Abi Chebli, director of Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui. Sister Chebli witnessed the significant damage to the hospital caused by the 2020 Beirut port explosion and has worked to rebuild the hospital with the help of CNEWA and other agencies.

Tune in to hear about the dedicated work of CNEWA’s staff and partners in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Egypt, including the distribution of emergency relief in Syria since the 6 February earthquakes, support for Catholic education in Lebanon, and assistance in rebuilding Lebanon through the country’s economic crisis.

Questions can be sent in advance to info@cnewa.org during the Q.-and-A. period or typed into the comments during the livestream.

The April installment of “Connections With Msgr. Peter” may be viewed on CNEWA’s YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter.
