CNEWA-Pontifical Mission is working to provide food, water and mattresses for the displaced in Deir El Ahmar, Lebanon, where more than 7,000 people fled from Israeli bombardment.
“They opened the schools, the churches, the universities, and opened their homes. We are very grateful,” said Ali Kassem, who was displaced to Deir El Ahmar with his family and has received aid from the Maronite Archeparchy of Deir El Ahmar.
“We were at home, safe, and everything was fine. Out of nowhere the airstrikes started hitting us,” said Abla Kassem.
