As the weather turns colder, our hearts turn to people who are desperately in need of warmth. Many are our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.
The elderly we serve in these countries face extreme winter climate, as well as awful housing conditions, which makes daily life for them practically impossible. To keep warm, they burn whatever is flammable: pasteboard, cardboard, garbage, paper, plastic, old clothing, shoes and young tree saplings. Some of these substances produce toxic fumes that can be fatal.
Your kindness helps the elderly stay warm during these difficult winter months, breaking through the darkness and cold to bring them light and warmth.
Through your gift you are doing more than keeping a family warm, you are bringing dignity and a sense of well-being to those who are frightened, isolated or alone.
Thank you for making their winter warmer through your prayer and financial support.
