The first day of program visits began with a tour of Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), followed by a visit to a UCU-run child care center for children who were orphaned or separated from their families by war and displaced children with special needs. Msgr. Vaccari concelebrated a Divine Liturgy for Pentecost at Lviv Theological Seminary of the Holy Spirit, celebrated by Bishop Volodymyr Hrutsa, C.Ss.R., auxiliary bishop of Lviv. The team also met with Ms. Stawnychy, the president of Caritas Ukraine, later that day.
