Although Catholics make up a minority in Ethiopia, Catholic schools remain among the most cherished and respected institutions in the country. CNEWA supports them and their mission in whatever ways possible.
Some of that support is financial. CNEWA provides about half a million dollars a year to support some 50 educational institutions in Ethiopia.
But some support is more urgent. Many of these schools work with the “poorest of the poor,” and a significant part of CNEWA’s support has lately involved providing food supplements to schools in drought-stricken parts of the country. These enable children to have the energy to study and do their schoolwork — and give them a chance to learn and grow into a better future.
CNEWA’s generous donors and benefactors are having a profound impact on so many of Ethiopia’s neediest children.
