CNEWA has funded tutorial and remedial classes, summer school and psychosocial counseling for more than 230 Syrian and Lebanese students enrolled at Fratelli since 2017. We have helped to cover personnel and operational costs, as well as rehabilitation of the school as needed.

CNEWA’s support for the Fratelli project has included renovations of student bathrooms, basketball and soccer courts and surrounding fences. In 2018, when Fratelli was struggling to provide appropriate transportation for students, CNEWA stepped in and provided a new bus. For 2019, CNEWA has committed funds for plant rehabilitation and summer school, including its day camp.

All this has offered a sense of possibility and security to young people who otherwise would have faced a future of uncertainty and even poverty.
