Msgr. Nevin Klinger Joins CNEWA’s Executive Staff

NEW YORK — Msgr. Nevin Klinger, a priest of the Diocese of Allentown, Pennsylvania, has joined CNEWA as assistant secretary general.

A prominent scholar and teacher in the field of canon law, Msgr. Klinger brings extensive and varied experiences to his new role. Before joining CNEWA, Msgr. Klinger served as vice rector of the Pontifical College Josephinum’s School of Theology in Columbus, Ohio, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Birdsboro-Douglassville, Pennsylvania, and as an official of the Holy See’s Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Msgr. Klinger previously served as diocesan vice chancellor and chancellor.

“For many years,” Msgr. Klinger said, “I have wanted to serve the church in its worldwide mission of service. My appointment with this agency of the Holy See affords me the opportunity to assist the Holy Father in his work to support the peoples and churches of the East.”

“Even as a child, I recall my family’s support of CNEWA. It is an honor for me to serve, both its members and those whom CNEWA is committed to help.”
