ONE magazine received seven awards from the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada, including first place for general excellence.
The awards were announced during the CPA’s annual convention, held in late May in Nashville.
Other awards included:
- First Place, best feature article, “Holding on Through the Generations,” by Michael Swan
- First Place, best color photo, “One of the Many Faces of Ambo’s Orphans,” by Sean Sprague
- Second Place, best feature article, “Nectar of the Gods,” by Amal Bouhabib
- Second Place, best photo story, “Remnants of Byzantium,” by Daria Erdosy
- Third Place, best black and white photo, “The Ties that Bind,” by Peter Lemieux
- Honorable Mention, best color photo, “Indian Ocean Continues to Wash up Debris,” by Peter Lemieux
