Where Can the People of Lebanon Turn?

Their country is in turmoil.

Lebanon was rocked by an explosion at the port of Beirut two years ago. People have been struggling to recover ever since. The needs in this treasured corner of our world have been great — from health care to education and the daily supplies needed simply to help families keep going.

But that’s not all. All this happened in the middle of a collapsing economy that has seen the minimum wage plummet and the poverty rate skyrocket. Inflation has hit a staggering 145 percent and nearly a third of the population is food insecure.

Where can the people of Lebanon turn? For so many, the answer has been: CNEWA.

When it mattered, we were there.

CNEWA has helped feed thousands of the neediest families in Lebanon, many of them middle class workers left unemployed by the country’s economic collapse. We have raised funds to rebuild hospitals damaged by the Beirut explosion. We have bolstered local schools, as parents facing unemployment struggle to give their children the excellent education Catholic schools provide.

We are able to do it because of people like you.

We can only continue this vital and life-affirming labor of love with your support. Please take a moment to make a gift and stand beside the people of Lebanon. Help them know they are not alone, that their brothers and sisters around the world are supporting them, empowering them, praying for them.

Your gift today can help build a more secure future in one of the oldest and most vital cradles of Christianity.

Help them know that when it matters, you are there.
