Ukrainian Soldier Rests on Faith

As the war on Ukraine continues, the faith of the Ukrainian people remains strong, and in some instances, strengthens.

Maksym Chernitsyn enlisted in the military and fought on the fronts in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He was wounded in Luhansk by shelling, with injuries to his face and arms, but did not sustain further injuries.

“Maybe guardian angels do exist,” he said from his hospital bed in Kyiv.

“When there’s a massive shelling, then really you pray to God to save you.”

Learn more about his experience with faith on the front line in the video below.
