NEW YORK – Chorbishop John D. Faris, Undersecretary General of Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA), will be the main speaker at the investiture dinner of the Eastern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. The dinner will take place on Saturday, 13 September, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
The event will follow a Mass of Investiture at 1:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. Patrick. Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop of New York, will be the main celebrant. Concelebrants will include bishops of the Eastern Lieutenancy. Some 125 persons will be invested into the order at the Mass; 106 members will be elevated in rank.
