Rome’s enchanting Terrazza Babuino, nestled along the city’s most iconic streets, played host to a remarkable event on 25 June organized by the distinguished and well-known Milan-based lawyer, Ada Odino. A cherished friend of the CNEWA family, Ada sought to promote the agency among her closest Italian friends, fostering an atmosphere brimming with warmth and solidarity.
The gathering included CNEWA President Msgr. Peter I. Vaccari and two key members of the CNEWA office in Rome, Don Marco Scandelli, its legal representative, and Anna Cuzziol, office administrator. This occasion was a significant milestone for CNEWA’s initiative in Rome, which reopened nearly a year ago. It provided an ideal platform to highlight CNEWA’s mission and discuss its ongoing program.
Msgr. Vaccari highlighted that “hope is CNEWA’s distinctive calling card,” adding that its mission extends far beyond addressing material needs. CNEWA also offers “comfort, consolation, education, faith and hope.” This core message was conveyed by CNEWA representatives to all attendees, emphasizing that humanitarian assistance is crucial for restoring a person’s dignity and is as vital as the spiritual, emotional and psychosocial assistance offered through its many programs and projects.
The event forged new bonds and strengthened those already formed and spread the profound message of hope and support that lies at the heart of CNEWA’s mission.
