Committed to Stay in the Holy Land

We hear it time and time again how Christians have left the Holy Land in great number, seeking a safer, more peaceful and prosperous life for their families elsewhere. 

However, a new program of CNEWA-Pontifical Mission’s Jerusalem office is encouraging young Christians to stay and training them with professional skills to take on the leadership of Christian organizations and institutions. 

“Pontifical Mission is there to accompany the young people, the children and the institutions to help them, most importantly to know and to be convinced that they can have a future for themselves here in the land where Christianity began,” says Joseph Hazboun, director of the Jerusalem office.

“We are convinced that our children can have a future here in the land of Jesus, where the Christian presence has been ongoing since the first century until today.”
