“When the bombing started, we were praying the rosary,” said Jack Farah, a child displaced to Deir El Ahmar, Lebanon, because of the war.
“It’s terror,” he said.
As Israel and Hezbollah appear to be on the cusp of a cease-fire agreement, the reality for many families on the ground remains unclear. More than 1.3 million Lebanese have been displaced since the conflict escalated in September, and many have little to return to because of the destruction.
