This Thursday, 16 December, at 8 p.m. ET, CNEWA and Salt + Light Media will present a virtual event benefiting Christians of the Middle East.
Once again this year, CNEWA has partnered with Salt + Light Media to produce an hourlong Christmas TV special on the life of Christians in the Middle East.
“Witnesses of Hope: The Greatest of Gifts” will focus on Christians in the Holy Land in particular. It will include the moving witness of various men and women, church leaders and lay people, from the land where Jesus was born, raising awareness and support for their mission.
The program will feature musical performances in Arabic, Aramaic and English by a children’s choir at Good Shepherd Chaldean Cathedral in Toronto.
Two lay leaders in Jerusalem — Joseph Hazboun, regional director of CNEWA, and Tania Awwad, executive director of the Greek Catholic Annunciation Society Infant Welfare Center — and Carl Hétu, national director of CNEWA in Canada, will also gather for a panel discussion on the current reality of Christians in the Holy Land.
Proceeds from the event will support CNEWA’s work in the Middle East.
Viewers may watch the hourlong program via Salt + Light Media or CNEWA Canada’s Facebook page.
