The CNEWA Blog
CATEGORY: Eastern Europe
In Eastern Europe, CNEWA focuses its activities in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine — nations that continue their struggle to rebuild after decades of economic collapse, political instability, corruption and war. These are the stories of how the small Catholic communities of Armenia and Georgia reach out to the most marginalized people, despite modest human and financial resources; and how Ukraine’s Greek Catholic churches have reinvigorated parishes and communities and now are on the front lines of the war with Russia, tending to the needs of all those in harm’s way, regardless of their faith.
