CNEWA

They Need You!

The suspension — and potential elimination — of U.S. government funding of relief agencies, including Catholic-run organizations such as Catholic Relief Services, Jesuit Refugee Service and Malteser International Americas, has serious implications for the churches and peoples served by CNEWA.

As an agency of the Holy See, CNEWA operates independently of government funding from the United States. Thank God, our regional offices remain open and fully operational and we remain in ongoing, regular communication with them.

CNEWA’s work throughout the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe  is in no danger of being halted.

And thanks to your generosity, we will continue to work with, for and through the local Eastern churches, building on the strong relationship of trust we have built with these communities as CNEWA prepares to enter its second century of service.

We are receiving new urgent requests for aid, and we need your generous help to respond to the dire needs presented to us.

In humble service, we accompany the historic Eastern churches, which form the backbone and provide the lifeblood for so many in need in the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe.

For a century, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of good people like you, we have prayed with them when they were attacked, comforted them when they grieved, fed them when they hungered, bandaged them when they bled, sheltered them when they had no home.

Please help us as together we follow the lesson of the Good Samaritan, to “go and do likewise,” binding the wounds of a broken world and answering the question put to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
